Join us and observe International Overdose Awareness Day Friday, August 30. At noon we will gather for a community, interfaith prayer service of remembrance for those who died this past year in Allegheny County due to overdose and those who continue to struggle with addiction. All are welcome to join us for a full day of events to remember, educate, and advocate.
Beginning at 11:45 a.m. the Trinity Cathedral bells will toll for every person who died from overdose in Allegheny County in 2018. The interfaith prayer service will follow at noon with members of the Pittsburgh Downtown Ministerium, Christian Associates of Southwest PA, interfaith colleagues, civic representatives, Pittsburgh Won’t Forget U, and CLEAR members.
Training is being offered on Friday, August 30. It is free and open to the public and will be held at Trinity Cathedral. It is sponsored and hosted by The Coalition for Leadership, Education and Advocacy for Recovery (CLEAR).
